So I started reading:
I finally started my first historical fiction YA book. I pledged to read 5 this year so, I really need to start cracking.
But then, this came in inter-library loan for me:
Divergent is apparently amazing. I have heard nothing but amazing things about it. Plus, the next book in the series just came out so there is a ton of buzz. Have you read it?
Then I got this ebook:
This is book #5 in The Mortal Instruments series. I love this series, but for the cover....Jace is 9 inches taller than Clary.
So many choices.

I maintain that A Northern Light is not the best choice to get you interested in YA historical fiction. It is boring and preachy. YES, we all know that going to college on a scholarship is a better choice than getting knocked up by the marginally cute guy who is going nowhere.
ReplyDeleteCovers are notoriously inaccurate. Maybe Clary is standing on something.
Northern Light was a gift so I really do want to read it. Then more fascinating stuff.
DeleteI'm desparately trying to get books via overdrive on my phone. Got a library card today hoping that would do it, but now I guess I need a PIN. So emailed Pekin Library. So soon, I'll be looking at audio book suggestions.
ReplyDeleteI have two books I'm reading in real book form - The Hunger Games and Harry Potter.
