I have a problem.
I like to blog about what I am making and I also like to make surprises. I can't go around blogging about surprises, especially since I have such a low readership, the reader will definitely know it is for them. I should probably start making things for my husband since he doesn't read this, but then he would see me making it and it would be hard to lie and say it is for someone else so no surprises for him either.
So I am left with the option of waiting until after the surprise has been delivered to blog about the item. So no pictures or details...yet.
My latest surprise is good. I mailed it last week. I made this person a special goodie and they have no idea. This fills me with glee. Now I am making myself a repeat of the special goodie in a different color. But I can't post a picture of that and ruin the surprise. Instead, you will all have to imagine something pretty and wonderful in all knitterly goodness...what item would that be for you?

Heh, when I read the words "secrets" and "surprises", I was all, "OMG, Michelle's pregnant."
ReplyDeleteI am not making those secrets or surprises.
DeleteOh and wouldn't tell you through the blog. I would do it the traditional way...through Facebook.
DeleteSo you've never made Adam anything? I think you should have a contest to see who can offer the best suggestion for what you can make Adam for your anniversary. And they'll have to supply the clever excuses so you don't have to lie while you're making it. ;)
ReplyDeleteI made Adam socks once and a few hats. He likes them. But what do you make for a man who is always warm? Excellent idea though! I may have to do it.
DeleteI just received my special goodie and I thank you so much! It will be snuggly warm next winter! You are a sweetheart! Aunt Rita
Deletetoo bad I cannot type my name correctly....
DeleteI am so glad you got it! I made that in Jan for you and forgot to send it until now. Now for the other goodie receiver to get theirs.

DeleteI don't know if this book would have any good patterns, but I had to chuckle at the cover!
Ha! you can knit him a tie, in his favorite team colors: http://diyfashion.about.com/od/diyaccessories/qt/Knit_Necktie.htm and tell him it's a tiny scarf for one of Delaina's dolls. :)
DeleteStacie, I just put that book on hold at the public library. Hope it is good. Thanks for the ideas.
DeleteThe worst part of blogging is not being able to share gifts until after the fact!!
ReplyDeleteThank you, thank you, thank you for the great surprise I got in the mail. I love the very pretty scarf. I am going to wear it to circle tomorrow night. Actually I am wearing it now. You are really spoiling me with your surprises.
DeleteWell you send me all these pinterest things so sometimes I get the urge to make them.
